Chapter 8 · Prayers (Salat)
Sahih

One who prays in a silk farruj and then takes it off

Translation

Uqbah ibn Amir reported: A silk farruj was given to the Prophet ﷺ as a gift. He put it on and prayed in it. Then, when he had finished, he pulled it off forcefully, like one who dislikes it, and said, “This is not fitting for the God-fearing.”

Translator’s note: Farruj: an outer garment slit at the back. This was before silk was forbidden for men.

Deutsch

Ukbe b. Âmir (r.a.)
