قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَاتَّخِذُوا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى}

The saying of Allah, the Exalted: “And take the station of Ibrahim (Abraham, peace be upon him) as a place of prayer.”

لَمَّا دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْبَيْتَ دَعَا فِي نَوَاحِيهِ كُلِّهَا، وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ حَتَّى خَرَجَ مِنْهُ، فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ رَكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فِي قُبُلِ الْكَعْبَةِ وَقَالَ " هَذِهِ الْقِبْلَةُ ".

Ibn Abbas reported: When the Prophet ﷺ entered the House, he supplicated in all its corners and did not pray until he had come out of it. When he came out, he prayed two rak'ahs facing the front of the Kaaba and said, “This is the qiblah.”
