الْقَضَاءِ وَاللِّعَانِ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ بَيْنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ

Judging and mutual cursing (li'an) between men and women in the mosque

أَنَّ رَجُلاً، قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَرَأَيْتَ رَجُلاً وَجَدَ مَعَ امْرَأَتِهِ رَجُلاً أَيَقْتُلُهُ فَتَلاَعَنَا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَأَنَا شَاهِدٌ.

Sahl ibn Sa'd reported that a man said, “O Messenger of Allah, what do you think of a man who finds a man with his wife: should he kill him?” Then they (the husband and wife) carried out the mutual cursing (li'an) in the mosque, and I was a witness.
