مَنْ دَعَا لِطَعَامٍ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَمَنْ أَجَابَ فِيهِ

One who invites to a meal in the mosque, and one who accepts (the invitation) there

وَجَدْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي الْمَسْجِدِ مَعَهُ نَاسٌ فَقُمْتُ، فَقَالَ لِي " آرْسَلَكَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ " قُلْتُ نَعَمْ. فَقَالَ " لِطَعَامٍ ". قُلْتُ نَعَمْ. فَقَالَ لِمَنْ حَوْلَهُ " قُومُوا ". فَانْطَلَقَ وَانْطَلَقْتُ بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ.

Anas ibn Malik reported: I found the Prophet ﷺ in the mosque with some people with him, and I stood there. He said to me, “Did Abu Talhah send you?” I said, “Yes.” He said, “For a meal?” I said, “Yes.” Then he said to those around him, “Get up.” So he set off, and I went on ahead of them.
