Chapter 2 · Belief
Sahih

The believer's fear that his deeds may be nullified without his realising it

Translation

Ubadah ibn as-Samit reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to inform (the people) about the Night of Decree. Two men from the Muslims were quarrelling with each other. He said, “I came out to inform you about the Night of Decree, but so-and-so and so-and-so quarrelled, and so (its knowledge) was taken away. Perhaps that is better for you. Seek it on the seventh, the ninth and the fifth.”

Translator’s note: Commonly understood as the seventh, ninth and fifth of the remaining nights of the last ten nights of Ramadan.

Deutsch

Sâmit (r.a.) şöyle rivayet etti: Resûlullah ﷺ Kadir gecesini haber vermek için çıktı. Müslümanlardan iki adam birbiriyle çekişti. Bunun üzerine şöyle buyurdu: “Ben size Kadir gecesini haber vermek için çıkmıştım; fakat falan ile falan çekişti ve (onun bilgisi) kaldırıldı. Belki de bu sizin için daha hayırlıdır. Onu yedinci, dokuzuncu ve beşinci (gecelerde) arayın.”

Translator’s note: Yaygın anlayışa göre Ramazan'ın son on gecesinden kalan yedinci, dokuzuncu ve beşinci gecedir.
