Chapter 10 · Call to Prayers (Adhaan)هَلْ يَتَتَبَّعُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ فَاهُ هَا هُنَا وَهَا هُنَا، وَهَلْ يَلْتَفِتُ فِي الأَذَانِ
Whether the caller to prayer turns his mouth this way and that, and whether he turns during the adhan
أَنَّهُ رَأَى بِلاَلاً يُؤَذِّنُ فَجَعَلْتُ أَتَتَبَّعُ فَاهُ هَا هُنَا وَهَا هُنَا بِالأَذَانِ.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ،
Translation
Abu Juhayfah reported that he saw Bilal calling the adhan, and (he said,) I began following his mouth this way and that during the adhan.
Translator’s note: This means that Bilal turned his head to the right and to the left during the adhan.

Abu Dschuhaifa berichtete, dass er Bilal zum Gebet rufen sah, und (er sagte:) Ich begann, seinem Mund beim Gebetsruf hierhin und dorthin zu folgen.
Translator’s note: Gemeint ist, dass Bilal beim Gebetsruf den Kopf nach rechts und nach links wandte.

Ebû Cühayfe (r.a.), Bilâl'i (r.a.) ezan okurken gördüğünü rivayet etti; (şöyle dedi:) Ezan sırasında onun ağzını şu yana ve bu yana takip etmeye başladım.
