Sahih

The obligation of the takbir and the opening of the prayer

Translation

Anas ibn Malik reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ rode a horse and his right side was grazed. Anas said: He led us that day in one of the prayers while sitting, and we prayed behind him sitting. Then, when he had said the salam, he said, “The imam is appointed only to be followed. When he prays standing, pray standing; when he bows, bow; when he rises, rise; when he prostrates, prostrate; and when he says, ‘Allah hears the one who praises Him,’ say, ‘Our Lord, and to You belongs the praise.’”

Deutsch
