Chapter 11 · Call to Prayers (Adhaan) (Sufa-Tu-Salat)الْقِرَاءَةِ فِي الظُّهْرِ
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقْرَأُ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ الأُولَيَيْنِ مِنْ صَلاَةِ الظُّهْرِ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ وَسُورَتَيْنِ، يُطَوِّلُ فِي الأُولَى، وَيُقَصِّرُ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ، وَيُسْمِعُ الآيَةَ أَحْيَانًا، وَكَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْعَصْرِ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ وَسُورَتَيْنِ، وَكَانَ يُطَوِّلُ فِي الأُولَى، وَكَانَ يُطَوِّلُ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الأُولَى مِنْ صَلاَةِ الصُّبْحِ، وَيُقَصِّرُ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ.

The recitation of the Qur'an in a Zuhr prayer
"The Prophet (ﷺ) in Zuhr prayers used to recite Al-Fatiha along with two other Suras in the first two rak`at: a long one in the first rak`a and a shorter (Sura) in the second, and at times the verses were audible. In the `Asr prayer the Prophet (ﷺ) used to recite Al-Fatiha and two more Suras in the first two rak`at and used to prolong the first rak`a. And he used to prolong the first rak`a of the Fajr prayer and shorten the second.

Der Prophet (Friede sei mit ihm) pflegte in den ersten beiden Rak'at des Mittagsgebetes (Zuhr) die Eröffnende Sure (Fatihat al-Kitab) und zwei weitere Suren zu rezitieren. Er verlängerte die erste (Rak'a) und verkürzte die zweite, und ließ manchmal Verse hörbar werden. Im Nachmittagsgebet ('Asr) pflegte er die Eröffnende Sure und zwei weitere Suren in den ersten beiden Rak'at zu rezitieren und die erste Rak'a zu verlängern. Ebenso verlängerte er die erste Rak'a des Morgengebetes (Fadschr) und verkürzte die zweite.

Nebi (s.a.v.), öğle namazının (Zuhr) ilk iki rekâtında Fatihatü'l-Kitab'ı (Kitabın Açılışı) ve iki sure okurdu. Birinci rekâtı uzatır, ikincide kısaltırdı ve bazen ayetleri duyururdu. İkindi namazında (Asr) Fatihatü'l-Kitab'ı ve iki sure okur ve birinci rekâtı uzatırdı. Aynı şekilde, sabah namazının (Fecr) birinci rekâtını uzatır ve ikinciyi kısaltırdı.
