Chapter 11 · Call to Prayers (Adhaan) (Sufa-Tu-Salat)التَّكْبِيرِ إِذَا قَامَ مِنَ السُّجُودِ
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، قَالَ صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ شَيْخٍ بِمَكَّةَ فَكَبَّرَ ثِنْتَيْنِ وَعِشْرِينَ تَكْبِيرَةً، فَقُلْتُ لاِبْنِ عَبَّاسٍ إِنَّهُ أَحْمَقُ. فَقَالَ ثَكِلَتْكَ أُمُّكَ، سُنَّةُ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ صلى الله عليه وسلم. وَقَالَ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ.

Saying the Takbir on raising from the prostration
I prayed behind an old at Mecca and he said twenty two Takbirs (during the prayer). I told Ibn `Abbas رضی اللہ عنہما that he (i.e. that Sheikh) was foolish. Ibn `Abbas رضی اللہ عنہما admonished me and said, "This is the Sunnah of Abul-Qasim." Musa, Abaan and Qatadah have also reported it from Ikrimah.

Ich betete hinter einem Scheich in Mekka, und er sprach zweiundzwanzig Takbīrāt (Allahu Akbar). Ich sagte zu Ibn ‘Abbās: „Er ist töricht.“ Da tadelte mich Ibn ‘Abbās scharf und sagte: „Deine Mutter möge dich verlieren! Das ist die Sunna von Abul-Qāsim (dem Propheten Muhammad, Friede sei mit ihm).“
