Chapter 12 · Friday Prayerحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَرَجَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ مِنْ جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ، فَصَلَّى فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، فَصَلَّى رِجَالٌ بِصَلاَتِهِ فَأَصْبَحَ النَّاسُ فَتَحَدَّثُوا، فَاجْتَمَعَ أَكْثَرُ مِنْهُمْ فَصَلَّوْا مَعَهُ، فَأَصْبَحَ النَّاسُ فَتَحَدَّثُوا فَكَثُرَ أَهْلُ الْمَسْجِدِ مِنَ اللَّيْلَةِ الثَّالِثَةِ، فَخَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَصَلَّوْا بِصَلاَتِهِ، فَلَمَّا كَانَتِ اللَّيْلَةُ الرَّابِعَةُ عَجَزَ الْمَسْجِدُ عَنْ أَهْلِهِ حَتَّى خَرَجَ لِصَلاَةِ الصُّبْحِ، فَلَمَّا قَضَى الْفَجْرَ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ، فَتَشَهَّدَ ثُمَّ قَالَ " أَمَّا بَعْدُ فَإِنَّهُ لَمْ يَخْفَ عَلَىَّ مَكَانُكُمْ، لَكِنِّي خَشِيتُ أَنْ تُفْرَضَ عَلَيْكُمْ فَتَعْجِزُوا عَنْهَا ". تَابَعَهُ يُونُسُ.

Once in the middle of the night Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) went out and prayed in the mosque and some men prayed with him. The next morning the people spoke about it and so more people gathered and prayed with him (in the second night). They circulated the news in the morning, and so, on the third night the number of people increased greatly. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) came out and they prayed behind him. On the fourth night the mosque was overwhelmed by the people till it could not accommodate them. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) came out only for the Fajr prayer and when he finished the prayer, he faced the people and recited "Tashah-hud" (I testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is His Apostle), and then said, "Amma ba'du. Verily your presence (in the mosque at night) was not hidden from me, but I was afraid that this prayer (Prayer of Tahajjud) might be made compulsory and you might not be able to carry it out." Younus corroborated him.

Einige Männer beteten mit ihm. Am Morgen sprachen die Leute darüber, woraufhin sich am nächsten Abend mehr von ihnen versammelten und mit ihm beteten. Am Morgen sprachen die Leute erneut darüber, sodass in der dritten Nacht die Anzahl der Moscheebesucher sehr groß wurde. Der Gesandte Allahs (s.a.w.s.) kam heraus und sie beteten mit ihm. Als die vierte Nacht kam, konnte die Moschee ihre Leute nicht mehr fassen (war überfüllt). Der Gesandte Allahs (s.a.w.s.) kam erst zum Morgengebet heraus. Als er das Fajr-Gebet beendet hatte, wandte er sich den Leuten zu, sprach das Taschahhud und sagte dann: „Amma ba’du (Und nun zur Sache): Eure Anwesenheit (im Gebetshaus) war mir nicht verborgen, aber ich fürchtete, dass es euch zur Pflicht gemacht würde, und ihr es dann nicht mehr erfüllen könntet.“ Dies wird von Yunus bestätigt.

Bize Yahya İbn Bukeyr rivayet etti, dedi ki: Bize Leys, Ukail’den, o da İbn Şihab’dan rivayet etti. O da dedi ki: Bana Urve haber verdi ki, Aişe (r.anha) ona haber vermiştir ki, Resûlullah (s.a.v.) bir gece yarısı mescide çıktı ve namaz kıldı. Bazı adamlar da onunla birlikte namaz kıldılar. Sabah olunca insanlar bunu konuştu. Bunun üzerine daha çok kişi toplandı ve onunla namaz kıldılar. Sabah olunca yine insanlar bunu konuştu. Üçüncü gecede mescidin cemaati iyice çoğaldı. Resûlullah (s.a.v.) dışarı çıktı ve onlar da onunla birlikte namaz kıldılar. Dördüncü gece gelince mescid artık cemaati alamaz hale geldi. Resûlullah (s.a.v.) ancak sabah namazı için dışarı çıktı. Sabah namazını bitirince cemaate döndü, teşehhüd getirdi ve şöyle buyurdu: 'Amma ba’d (bundan sonra): Sizin yerinizi (buradaki varlığınızı) bilmem gizli kalmadı. Fakat ben, bu namazın size farz kılınmasından ve dolayısıyla sizin onu yerine getirememenizden korktum.' Bu rivayet Yunus tarafından da desteklenmiştir.
