حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ كُنْتُ أَسِيرُ مَعَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بِطَرِيقِ مَكَّةَ فَقَالَ سَعِيدٌ فَلَمَّا خَشِيتُ الصُّبْحَ نَزَلْتُ فَأَوْتَرْتُ، ثُمَّ لَحِقْتُهُ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ أَيْنَ كُنْتَ فَقُلْتُ خَشِيتُ الصُّبْحَ، فَنَزَلْتُ فَأَوْتَرْتُ. فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَلَيْسَ لَكَ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ فَقُلْتُ بَلَى وَاللَّهِ. قَالَ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يُوتِرُ عَلَى الْبَعِيرِ.

To offer the Witr Salat while riding on an animal
I was going to Mecca in the company of `Abdullah bin `Umar رضی اللہ عنہما and when I apprehended the approaching dawn, I dismounted and offered the witr prayer and then joined him. `Abdullah bin `Umar رضی اللہ عنہما said, "Where have you been?" I replied, "I apprehended the approaching dawn so I dismounted and prayed the witr prayer." `Abdullah رضی اللہ عنہما said, "Isn't it sufficient for you to follow the good example of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)?" I replied, "Yes, by Allah." He said, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to pray witr on the back of the camel (while on a journey)."

Ich war mit Abdullah ibn Umar (möge Allah mit ihnen beiden zufrieden sein) auf dem Weg nach Mekka unterwegs. Said sagte: Als ich befürchtete, die Morgendämmerung (Subh) würde eintreten, stieg ich ab und verrichtete das Witr-Gebet, wonach ich ihn wieder einholte. Abdullah ibn Umar fragte: „Wo warst du?“ Ich antwortete: „Ich befürchtete die Morgendämmerung, also stieg ich ab und verrichtete das Witr-Gebet.“ Abdullah sagte daraufhin: „Ist dir nicht im Gesandten Allahs (ﷺ) ein schönes Vorbild (Uswa Hasanah) gegeben?“ Ich erwiderte: „Doch, bei Allah.“ Er sagte: „Der Gesandte Allahs (ﷺ) pflegte das Witr-Gebet auf dem Rücken seines Reittiers (des Kamels) zu verrichten.“

Ben, Abdullah bin Ömer (Allah ikisinden de razı olsun) ile birlikte Mekke yolunda seyahat ediyordum. Said dedi ki: Sabahın yaklaşmasından endişe ettiğimde, indim ve Vitir namazını kıldım, sonra ona yetiştim. Abdullah bin Ömer: "Nerede kaldın?" diye sordu. Ben de: "Sabahın yaklaşmasından korktum, bu yüzden indim ve Vitir kıldım" diye cevap verdim. Abdullah (bunun üzerine) şöyle dedi: "Sizin için Allah Resûlü'nde (ﷺ) güzel bir örnek (Üsvetun Hasene) yok mudur?" Ben: "Evet, Allah'a yemin olsun ki vardır" dedim. O da: "Şüphesiz Allah Resûlü (ﷺ) devesinin üzerinde Vitir kılardı" dedi.
