Chapter 2 · The Book of Faithبَيَانِ كَوْنِ الإِيمَانِ بِاللَّهِ تَعَالَى أَفْضَلَ الأَعْمَالِ
وَحَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورُ بْنُ أَبِي مُزَاحِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ح، وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ، يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ: «إِيمَانٌ بِاللهِ»، قَالَ: ثُمَّ مَاذَا؟ قَالَ: «الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ» قَالَ: ثُمَّ مَاذَا؟ قَالَ: «حَجٌّ مَبْرُورٌ»، وَفِي رِوَايَةِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ: «إِيمَانٌ بِاللهِ وَرَسُولِهِ.

Clarifying that faith in Allah most high is the best of deeds
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about the best of deeds. He observed: Belief in Allah. He (the inquirer) said: What next? He (the Holy Prophet ﷺ) replied: Jihad (struggle to the utmost) in the cause of Allah. He (the inquirer) again said: What next? He (the Holy Prophet ﷺ) replied: Pilgrimage accepted into the grace of the Lord. In the. tradition narrated on the authority of Muhammad b. Ja'far (the words are) that he (the Holy Prophet) said: Belief in Allah and His Messenger.

Abū Hurayrah berichtete: Der Gesandte Allahs (ﷺ) wurde gefragt: „Welche Taten sind die besten?“ Er antwortete: „Der Glaube an Allah.“ Man fragte: „Und danach was?“ Er erwiderte: „Der Dschihad auf dem Wege Allahs.“ Man fragte erneut: „Und danach was?“ Er antwortete: „Eine angenommene (gepriesene) Pilgerfahrt (Haddsch Mabrar).“ In der Überlieferung von Muhammad ibn Ja'far heißt es, er (der Prophet) sprach: „[Der] Glaube an Allah und Seinen Gesandten.“

Abū Hurayrah’tan rivayet edildiğine göre, Allah Resûlü'ne (ﷺ): „Amellerin hangisi en faziletlidir?“ diye soruldu. O şöyle buyurdu: „Allah’a iman.“ (Soran kişi) dedi ki: „Sonra hangisi?“ O şöyle buyurdu: „Allah yolunda Cihad.“ (Soran kişi) tekrar dedi ki: „Sonra hangisi?“ O şöyle buyurdu: „Mebrûr (kabul edilmiş) bir Hac.“ Muhammed İbn Ca'far'ın rivayetinde ise, O (Peygamber) şöyle buyurmuştur: „Allah’a ve Resûlü’ne iman.“
