Bölüm 24 · Cenazelerإِذَا لَمْ يَجِدْ كَفَنًا إِلاَّ مَا يُوَارِي رَأْسَهُ أَوْ قَدَمَيْهِ غَطَّى رَأْسَهُ
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، حَدَّثَنَا شَقِيقٌ، حَدَّثَنَا خَبَّابٌ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ هَاجَرْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَلْتَمِسُ وَجْهَ اللَّهِ، فَوَقَعَ أَجْرُنَا عَلَى اللَّهِ، فَمِنَّا مَنْ مَاتَ لَمْ يَأْكُلْ مِنْ أَجْرِهِ شَيْئًا مِنْهُمْ مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عُمَيْرٍ، وَمِنَّا مَنْ أَيْنَعَتْ لَهُ ثَمَرَتُهُ فَهُوَ يَهْدِبُهَا. قُتِلَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ، فَلَمْ نَجِدْ مَا نُكَفِّنُهُ إِلاَّ بُرْدَةً إِذَا غَطَّيْنَا بِهَا رَأْسَهُ خَرَجَتْ رِجْلاَهُ، وَإِذَا غَطَّيْنَا رِجْلَيْهِ خَرَجَ رَأْسُهُ، فَأَمَرَنَا النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ نُغَطِّيَ رَأْسَهُ، وَأَنْ نَجْعَلَ عَلَى رِجْلَيْهِ مِنَ الإِذْخِرِ.

Habbab (رضıyallâhu anh) şöyle anlattı: “Biz, Allah'ın rızasını arayarak, Nebi (ﷺ) ile birlikte hicret ettik. Böylece ecrimiz Allah'a ait oldu. İçimizden, ecrinden [bu dünyada] hiçbir şey yemeden vefat edenler oldu; onlardan biri de Mus'ab ibn Umeyr idi. Kimimiz de var ki, meyvesi kendisi için olgunlaşmıştır ve onu devşirmektedir. [Mus'ab] Uhud günü şehid edilmişti. Biz, onu kefenleyecek bir Burda'dan (örtü/giysi) başka bir şey bulamadık. Onunla başını örttüğümüzde ayakları açılıyor, ayaklarını örttüğümüzde ise başı açılıyordu. Bunun üzerine Nebi (ﷺ) bize, başını örtmemizi ve ayaklarının üzerine izhir (bir çeşit ot) koymamızı emretti.”

Chabbab (رضى الله عنه) berichtete: „Wir wanderten mit dem Propheten (ﷺ) aus (machten Hidschra), wobei wir das Angesicht Allahs suchten. Unser Lohn fiel somit Allah zu. Einige von uns starben, ohne etwas von ihrem Lohn [bereits] in dieser Welt zu genießen; unter ihnen war Mus'ab ibn 'Umair. Und wiederum andere von uns, für die ihre Frucht reifte, und er sie [nun] pflückt. [Mus'ab] wurde am Tage von Uhud getötet, und wir fanden nichts, um ihn damit einzuhüllen (zu beerdigen), außer einem Tuch (Burda). Wenn wir damit seinen Kopf bedeckten, kamen seine Füße zum Vorschein, und wenn wir seine Füße bedeckten, kam sein Kopf zum Vorschein. Daher befahl uns der Prophet (ﷺ), seinen Kopf zu bedecken und auf seine Füße vom Idhkhir (einer Art Strauch) zu legen.“

If sufficient cloth for the shroud is not available
We emigrated with the Prophet (ﷺ) in Allah's cause, and so our reward was then surely incumbent on Allah. Some of us died and they did not take anything from their rewards in this world, and amongst them was Mustab bin `Umar رضی اللہ عنہ ; and the others were those who got their rewards. Mustab bin `Umar رضی اللہ عنہ was martyred on the day of the Battle of Uhud and we could get nothing except his Burd to shroud him in. And when we covered his head his feet became bare and vice versa. So the Prophet (ﷺ) ordered us to cover his head only and to put idhkhir (a kind of shrub) over his feet.
