Das Hinausgehen der Frauen zur Verrichtung der Notdurft

English

Aishah reported that the wives of the Prophet ﷺ used to go out at night, when they went to relieve themselves, to al-Manasi' – which is a wide, open plain. Umar used to say to the Prophet ﷺ, “Screen your wives.” But the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not do so. Then Sawdah bint Zam'ah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, went out one night in the evening; she was a tall woman. Umar called out to her, “We have recognised you, O Sawdah!” – out of eagerness that (the command of) screening be revealed. Then Allah revealed the verse of screening.

Anmerkung zur Übersetzung: The verse of screening (hijab) is commonly identified as Qur'an 33:53.

Türkçe

Âişe (r.a.) şöyle rivayet etti: Nebî'nin ﷺ hanımları geceleyin ihtiyaçlarını gidermek istediklerinde geniş, açık bir düzlük olan Menâsı'a çıkarlardı. Ömer (r.a.) Nebî'ye ﷺ, “Hanımlarını örtündür” derdi. Fakat Resûlullah ﷺ bunu yapmıyordu. Nihayet Nebî'nin ﷺ hanımı Sevde bint Zem'a (r.a.) gecelerden bir gece yatsı vakti dışarı çıktı.
