Memorising knowledge
حَفِظْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وِعَاءَيْنِ، فَأَمَّا أَحَدُهُمَا فَبَثَثْتُهُ، وَأَمَّا الآخَرُ فَلَوْ بَثَثْتُهُ قُطِعَ هَذَا الْبُلْعُومُ.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَخِي، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ
Translation
Abu Hurairah reported: I have preserved from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ two vessels (of knowledge). One of them I have spread; as for the other, if I had spread it, this throat would have been cut.

Abu Huraira berichtete: Ich habe vom Gesandten Allahs ﷺ zwei Gefäße (an Wissen) bewahrt. Das eine davon habe ich verbreitet; was aber das andere betrifft – hätte ich es verbreitet, wäre diese Kehle durchtrennt worden.

Ebû Hüreyre (r.a.) şöyle rivayet etti: Resûlullah'tan ﷺ iki kap (ilim) belledim. Bunlardan birini yaydım; diğerine gelince, eğer onu yaysaydım şu boğazım kesilirdi.
