Chapter 5 · Bathing (Ghusl)
Ablution before the ritual bath (ghusl)

Translation
Maymunah reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed his ablution (wudu) as for the prayer, except for his feet, and he washed his private parts and whatever filth had touched him. Then he poured the water over himself. Then he moved his feet aside and washed them. This was his ritual bath (ghusl) for janabah.
Translator’s note: Janabah: the state of major ritual impurity, e.g. after intercourse or ejaculation.

Meymûne (r.a.)
