Translation
Abu Hurairah reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ met me while I was in a state of janabah. He took me by the hand, and I walked with him until he sat down. Then I slipped away, went to my lodging and took the ritual bath (ghusl). Then I came while he was (still) sitting. He said, “Where were you, O Abu Hirr?” So I told him. He said, “Glory be to Allah, O Abu Hirr! The believer does not become impure.”
Translator’s note: Abu Hirr: an affectionate form of Abu Hurairah (“father of the kitten”).
