The sweat of one in a state of janabah, and that the Muslim does not become impure
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَقِيَهُ فِي بَعْضِ طَرِيقِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَهْوَ جُنُبٌ، فَانْخَنَسْتُ مِنْهُ، فَذَهَبَ فَاغْتَسَلَ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَقَالَ " أَيْنَ كُنْتَ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ". قَالَ كُنْتُ جُنُبًا، فَكَرِهْتُ أَنْ أُجَالِسَكَ وَأَنَا عَلَى غَيْرِ طَهَارَةٍ. فَقَالَ " سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ لاَ يَنْجُسُ ".

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرٌ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ،
Translation
Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet ﷺ met him on one of the roads of Madinah while he was in a state of janabah. So I slipped away from him. He went and took the ritual bath (ghusl), then came (back). (The Prophet) said, “Where were you, O Abu Hurairah?” He said, “I was in a state of janabah, and I disliked sitting with you while I was not in a state of purity.” He said, “Glory be to Allah! The believer does not become impure.”
Translator’s note: The shift between “he” and “I” is in the Arabic; Abu Hurairah is meant in each case, except for the words of the Prophet.

Abu Huraira berichtete, dass der Prophet ﷺ ihm auf einem der Wege Medinas begegnete, während er in Dschanaba (große rituelle Unreinheit) war. Da schlich ich mich von ihm fort. Er ging und vollzog die Ganzkörperwaschung, dann kam er (zurück). Da sagte (der Prophet): „Wo warst du, o Abu Huraira?“ Er sagte: „Ich war in Dschanaba und wollte nicht bei dir sitzen, während ich nicht im Zustand der Reinheit war.“ Da sagte er: „Gepriesen sei Allah! Der Gläubige wird nicht unrein.“
Translator’s note: Der Wechsel zwischen „er“ und „ich“ steht so im Arabischen; gemeint ist jeweils Abu Huraira, außer bei den Worten des Propheten.

Ebû Hüreyre (r.a.), cünüp olduğu bir sırada Medine yollarından birinde Nebî'nin ﷺ kendisine rastladığını rivayet etti. Ben de ondan sıvışıp uzaklaştım. Gidip gusletti, sonra geldi. (Nebî): “Ey Ebû Hüreyre, neredeydin?” buyurdu. O da: “Cünüptüm; temiz olmadığım hâlde seninle oturmayı hoş görmedim” dedi. Bunun üzerine şöyle buyurdu: “Sübhânallah! Mümin necis olmaz.”
Translator’s note: “O” ile “ben” arasındaki geçiş Arapçada da böyledir; Nebî'nin sözleri dışında her seferinde Ebû Hüreyre kastedilmektedir.
