Chapter 6 · Menstrual Periods
The ritual bath (ghusl) after menstruation

Translation
Aishah reported that a woman of the Ansar said to the Prophet ﷺ, “How shall I take the ritual bath (ghusl) after menstruation?” He said, “Take a piece of wool scented with musk and cleanse yourself three times.” Then the Prophet ﷺ felt shy and turned his face away, or he said, “Cleanse yourself with it.” So I took her, pulled her to me and told her what the Prophet ﷺ meant.
Translator’s note: “Cleanse yourself” renders a word otherwise used for ablution; cleaning the places where there was blood is meant.

Âişe (r.a.), Ensâr'dan bir kadının Nebî'ye ﷺ: “Hayızdan nasıl gusledeyim?” dediğini rivayet etti.
