Chapter 6 · Menstrual Periods
A woman combing her hair when she takes the ritual bath (ghusl) after menstruation

Translation
Aishah reported: I raised the talbiyah with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the Farewell Hajj, and I was among those who performed tamattu' and did not bring a sacrificial animal. She stated that she got her menses and did not become pure until the night of Arafah came. She said, “O Messenger of Allah, this is the night of Arafah, and I had only performed tamattu' with an Umrah.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to her, “Undo your hair, comb it, and refrain from your Umrah.” I did so. When I had completed the Hajj, he instructed Abd ar-Rahman on the night of al-Hasbah, and he had me perform an Umrah from at-Tan'im in place of the Umrah I had begun.
Translator’s note: Tamattu': Umrah and Hajj in the same pilgrimage season, leaving ihram in between. The switch between “I” and “she” is in the Arabic. Abd ar-Rahman is Aishah's brother. The night of al-Hasbah is the night after the days of Mina.

Âişe (r.a.) Haccı tamamlayınca Hasbe gecesi Abdurrahman'a emretti, o da başladığım umremin yerine bana Ten'îm'den umre yaptırdı.
