Chapter 6 · Menstrual Periods
Sahih

The menstruating woman does not make up the prayer

Translation

Mu'adhah reported that a woman said to Aishah, “Do her prayers suffice for one of us when she has become pure?” She said, “Are you a Haruriyyah? We used to menstruate while we were with the Prophet ﷺ, and he did not command us to do it.” Or she said, “… and we did not do it.”

Translator’s note: The question is whether the prayers missed during menstruation must be made up. Haruriyyah: a woman of the Kharijites (named after the place Harura'), who demanded that they be made up.

Other translations

Deutsch
