Chapter 8 · Prayers (Salat)
If the garment is tight

Translation
Sa'id ibn al-Harith reported: We asked Jabir ibn Abdullah about praying in a single garment. He said, “I went out with the Prophet ﷺ on one of his journeys. One night I came (to him) for some need of mine and found him praying. I had a single garment on me; I wrapped myself in it and prayed beside him. When he had finished, he said, ‘What brings you at night, O Jabir?’ I told him about my need. When I had finished, he said, ‘What is this wrapping that I saw?’ I said, ‘It was a (single) garment’ – meaning: it was tight. He said, ‘If it is wide, wrap yourself in it, and if it is tight, tie it around your waist.’”
Translator’s note: “Tie it around your waist”: wrap the garment around the hips so that it covers the lower body.

Abdullah'a (r.a.) tek bir elbise içinde namaz kılmayı sorduk.
