Chapter 8 · Prayers (Salat)
Sahih

The captive or the debtor tied up in the mosque

Translation

Abu Hurairah reported: The Prophet ﷺ said, “An ifrit from among the jinn broke loose upon me last night – or a word like that – to interrupt my prayer. Allah gave me power over him, and I wanted to tie him to one of the pillars of the mosque so that in the morning you could all look at him. Then I remembered the words of my brother Sulayman (Solomon, peace be upon him): ‘My Lord, grant me a kingdom such as will not befit anyone after me.’” Rawh said: So he drove him away humiliated.

Translator’s note: Qur'an 38:35. Ifrit: a particularly powerful, rebellious jinn. Rawh (ibn Ubadah) is one of the narrators.

Deutsch

Translator’s note: Koran 38:35. Ifrit: ein besonders starker, aufsässiger Dschinn. Rauh (ibn Ubada) ist einer der Überlieferer.

Türkçe

Ebû Hüreyre (r.a.) Sonra kardeşim Süleyman'ın (a.s.)

Ravh (b. Ubâde) râvilerden biridir.
