Sahih

Praying after the Fajr prayer until the sun has risen high

Translation

Abu Hurairah reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade two (kinds of) sales, two ways of dressing and two prayers: he forbade prayer after the Fajr prayer until the sun rises, and after the Asr prayer until the sun sets; and wrapping oneself in the manner of as-samma', and sitting with the knees drawn up (ihtiba') in a single garment with one's private parts exposed to the sky; and the sale by throwing (munabadhah) and by touching (mulamasah).

Translator’s note: Munabadhah: a sale in which throwing the goods to the other, without inspecting them, makes it binding; mulamasah: one in which merely touching the goods makes it binding. Samma': wrapping oneself in a single garment so that no opening is left for the hands; according to another explanation, throwing it over one shoulder so that the private parts are exposed. Ihtiba': sitting with the knees drawn up to the body and the garment wrapped around the back and legs.

Deutsch
