Chapter 9 · Times of the Prayers
Night conversation about religious understanding and good after the Isha prayer

Translation
Qurrah ibn Khalid reported: We were waiting for al-Hasan, and he was late in coming to us, until it was close to the time at which he (usually) rose. Then he came and said, “These neighbours of ours invited us.” Then he said: Anas said, “We waited for the Prophet ﷺ one night until it was approaching midnight. Then he came and led us in prayer, then he addressed us and said, ‘Indeed, the people have prayed and then gone to sleep, and you remain in prayer as long as you are waiting for the prayer.’” Al-Hasan said, “And people remain in good as long as they wait for good.” Qurrah said: This is from the hadith of Anas from the Prophet ﷺ.
Translator’s note: Al-Hasan is al-Hasan al-Basri.

Sonra şöyle dedi: Enes (r.a.) şöyle dedi: “Bir gece Nebî'yi ﷺ bekledik; gece yarısı yaklaşmıştı. Sonra geldi, bize namaz kıldırdı, ardından bize hitap edip şöyle buyurdu: ‘Dikkat edin! İnsanlar namaz kılıp sonra uyudular; siz ise namazı beklediğiniz sürece namazda olmaya devam edersiniz.’” Hasan şöyle dedi: “İnsanlar da hayrı bekledikleri sürece hayır içinde olmaya devam ederler.” Kurre şöyle dedi: Bu, Enes'in Nebî'den ﷺ rivayet ettiği hadistendir.
Translator’s note: Hasan, Hasan-ı Basrî'dir.
