Translation

Ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Among the trees there is a tree whose leaves do not fall, and it is like the Muslim. So tell me which it is.” The people's thoughts went to the trees of the desert. Abdullah said: And it occurred to me that it was the date palm, but I felt too shy (to say it). Then they said, “Tell us which it is, O Messenger of Allah.” He said, “It is the date palm.”
