Chapter 10 · Call to Prayers (Adhaan)
Blood protected by the adhan

Translation
Anas ibn Malik reported that whenever the Prophet ﷺ went with us on a raid against a people, he would not attack with us until it was morning and he had looked: if he heard an adhan, he held back from them, and if he did not hear an adhan, he attacked them. He said: We went out to Khaybar and reached them at night. When it was morning and he did not hear an adhan, he mounted, and I rode behind Abu Talhah, and my foot was touching the foot of the Prophet ﷺ. He said: They came out towards us with their baskets and their spades, and when they saw the Prophet ﷺ, they said, “Muhammad, by Allah! Muhammad and the army!” He said: When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw them, he said, “Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest! Khaybar is ruined. When we descend upon the courtyard of a people, evil is the morning of those who were warned.”
Translator’s note: The last sentence echoes Qur'an 37:177.

Enes b. Mâlik (r.a.), Nebî ﷺ bizimle bir kavme karşı sefere çıktığında sabah olup bakmadıkça bizimle saldırmadığını rivayet etti: Ezan işitirse onlara dokunmaz, ezan işitmezse onlara baskın yapardı. Şöyle dedi: Hayber'e çıktık ve onlara geceleyin vardık. Sabah olup ezan işitmeyince bindi; ben de Ebû Talha'nın arkasına bindim; ayağım Nebî'nin ﷺ ayağına değiyordu. Şöyle dedi: Zenbilleri ve kürekleriyle bize doğru çıktılar; Nebî'yi ﷺ görünce: “Muhammed, vallahi! Muhammed ve ordusu!” dediler. Şöyle dedi: Resûlullah ﷺ onları görünce: “Allahu ekber, Allahu ekber! Hayber harap oldu.
