Chapter 10 · Call to Prayers (Adhaan)
Sahih

Translation

Jabir ibn Abdullah reported: Mu'adh ibn Jabal used to pray with the Prophet ﷺ, then return and lead his people in prayer. He prayed the Isha prayer and recited (Surat) al-Baqarah. The man left, and it seemed that Mu'adh spoke ill of him. This reached the Prophet ﷺ, and he said, “A troublemaker, a troublemaker, a troublemaker!” – three times – or he said, “One who causes trouble, one who causes trouble, one who causes trouble!” And he ordered him (to recite) two surahs from the middle of the Mufassal. Amr said: I do not remember the two.

Translator’s note: Meaning: putting people under strain by an overlong prayer and driving them away from it. The Mufassal is the last part of the Qur'an with the shorter surahs. Amr (ibn Dinar) is a later narrator.

Deutsch

Abdullah (r.a.)

Amr (b. Dînâr) sonraki bir râvidir.
