Abu Dharr berichtete, dass der Gesandte Allahs ﷺ sagte: „Das Dach meines Hauses wurde geöffnet, während ich in Mekka war. Da stieg Dschibril (Gabriel) herab, öffnete meine Brust und wusch sie dann mit Zamzam-Wasser. Dann brachte er ein Becken aus Gold, gefüllt mit Weisheit und Glauben, leerte es in meine Brust und schloss sie dann. Dann nahm er mich bei der Hand und stieg mit mir zum untersten Himmel auf. Als ich zum untersten Himmel kam, sagte Dschibril zum Wächter des Himmels: ‚Öffne!‘ Er sagte: ‚Wer ist das?‘ Er sagte: ‚Das ist Dschibril.‘ Er sagte: ‚Ist jemand bei dir?‘ Er sagte: ‚Ja, bei mir ist Muhammad ﷺ.‘ Er sagte: ‚Ist nach ihm gesandt worden?‘ Er sagte: ‚Ja.‘ Als er geöffnet hatte, stiegen wir auf den untersten Himmel, und da war ein Mann, der saß; zu seiner Rechten waren dunkle Gestalten und zu seiner Linken waren dunkle Gestalten. Wenn er nach rechts blickte, lachte er, und wenn er nach links blickte, weinte er. Er sagte: ‚Willkommen dem rechtschaffenen Propheten und dem rechtschaffenen Sohn!‘ Ich sagte zu Dschibril: ‚Wer ist das?‘ Er sagte: ‚Das ist Adam (Friede sei mit ihm), und diese dunklen Gestalten zu seiner Rechten und zu seiner Linken sind die Seelen seiner Nachkommen. Die zur Rechten von ihnen sind die Leute des Paradieses, und die dunklen Gestalten zu seiner Linken sind die Leute des Feuers. Wenn er also nach rechts blickt, lacht er, und wenn er nach links blickt, weint er.‘ Bis er mit mir zum zweiten Himmel aufstieg und zu dessen Wächter sagte: ‚Öffne!‘ Da sagte sein Wächter zu ihm dasselbe, was der erste gesagt hatte, und öffnete.“ Anas sagte: Er erwähnte, dass er in den Himmeln Adam, Idris, Musa (Mose), Isa (Jesus) und Ibrahim (Abraham) – Allahs Segnungen seien auf ihnen – fand, legte aber nicht fest, wie ihre Stufen waren, außer dass er erwähnte, dass er Adam im untersten Himmel und Ibrahim im sechsten Himmel fand. Anas sagte: Als Dschibril mit dem Propheten ﷺ an Idris vorbeikam, sagte dieser: „Willkommen dem rechtschaffenen Propheten und dem rechtschaffenen Bruder!“ Da sagte ich: „Wer ist das?“ Er sagte: „Das ist Idris.“ Dann kam ich an Musa vorbei, und er sagte: „Willkommen dem rechtschaffenen Propheten und dem rechtschaffenen Bruder!“ Ich sagte: „Wer ist das?“ Er sagte: „Das ist Musa.“ Dann kam ich an Isa vorbei, und er sagte: „Willkommen dem rechtschaffenen Bruder und dem rechtschaffenen Propheten!“ Ich sagte: „Wer ist das?“ Er sagte: „Das ist Isa.“ Dann kam ich an Ibrahim vorbei, und er sagte: „Willkommen dem rechtschaffenen Propheten und dem rechtschaffenen Sohn!“ Ich sagte: „Wer ist das?“ Er sagte: „Das ist Ibrahim.“ … „Dann wurde ich (weiter) hinaufgeführt, bis ich zu einer Ebene emporstieg, auf der ich das Kratzen der Schreibrohre hörte.“ … „Da verpflichtete Allah meine Gemeinde zu fünfzig Gebeten. Ich kehrte damit zurück, bis ich an Musa vorbeikam. Er sagte: ‚Was hat Allah dir für deine Gemeinde zur Pflicht gemacht?‘ Ich sagte: ‚Er hat fünfzig Gebete zur Pflicht gemacht.‘ Er sagte: ‚Kehre zu deinem Herrn zurück, denn deine Gemeinde vermag das nicht.‘ Da wandte ich mich (an Ihn) zurück, und Er erließ einen Teil davon. Ich kehrte zu Musa zurück und sagte: ‚Er hat einen Teil davon erlassen.‘ Er sagte: ‚Wende dich wieder an deinen Herrn, denn deine Gemeinde vermag (es) nicht.‘ Da wandte ich mich (an Ihn) zurück, und Er erließ einen Teil davon. Ich kehrte zu ihm zurück, und er sagte: ‚Kehre zu deinem Herrn zurück, denn deine Gemeinde vermag das nicht.‘ Da wandte ich mich an Ihn zurück, und Er sagte: ‚Es sind fünf, und es sind fünfzig. Das Wort wird bei Mir nicht geändert.‘ Ich kehrte zu Musa zurück, und er sagte: ‚Wende dich wieder an deinen Herrn.‘ Ich sagte: ‚Ich schäme mich vor meinem Herrn.‘ Dann ging er mit mir weiter, bis er mit mir zum Lotusbaum des äußersten Endes (Sidrat al-Muntaha) gelangte. Ihn bedeckten Farben, von denen ich nicht weiß, was sie sind. Dann wurde ich ins Paradies eingelassen, und siehe, darin waren Schnüre aus Perlen, und seine Erde war Moschus.“

Çeviri notu: Den Bericht gibt Anas von Abu Dharr weiter. Der Teil nach dem ersten „…“ stammt aus der Überlieferung Ibn Hazms von Ibn Abbas und Abu Habba al-Ansari, der nach dem zweiten von Ibn Hazm und Anas. „Fünf und fünfzig“: fünf an Zahl, fünfzig an Lohn; vgl. Koran 50:29. Sidrat al-Muntaha: vgl. Koran 53:14.

Abu Dharr reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “The roof of my house was opened while I was in Makkah. Jibril (Gabriel) descended, opened my chest and then washed it with Zamzam water. Then he brought a basin of gold filled with wisdom and faith, emptied it into my chest and then closed it. Then he took me by the hand and ascended with me to the lowest heaven. When I came to the lowest heaven, Jibril said to the gatekeeper of the heaven, ‘Open!’ He said, ‘Who is this?’ He said, ‘This is Jibril.’ He said, ‘Is anyone with you?’ He said, ‘Yes, Muhammad ﷺ is with me.’ He said, ‘Has he been sent for?’ He said, ‘Yes.’ When he opened, we went up onto the lowest heaven, and there was a man sitting, with dark shapes on his right and dark shapes on his left. When he looked to his right he laughed, and when he looked to his left he wept. He said, ‘Welcome to the righteous prophet and the righteous son!’ I said to Jibril, ‘Who is this?’ He said, ‘This is Adam (peace be upon him), and these dark shapes on his right and his left are the souls of his descendants. Those on the right among them are the people of Paradise, and the dark shapes on his left are the people of the Fire. So when he looks to his right he laughs, and when he looks to his left he weeps.’ Then he ascended with me to the second heaven and said to its gatekeeper, ‘Open!’ Its gatekeeper said to him the same as the first had said, and he opened.” Anas said: He mentioned that he found in the heavens Adam, Idris, Musa (Moses), Isa (Jesus) and Ibrahim (Abraham) – the blessings of Allah be upon them – but he did not establish how their stations were, except that he mentioned that he found Adam in the lowest heaven and Ibrahim in the sixth heaven. Anas said: When Jibril passed with the Prophet ﷺ by Idris, he said, “Welcome to the righteous prophet and the righteous brother!” I said, “Who is this?” He said, “This is Idris.” Then I passed by Musa, and he said, “Welcome to the righteous prophet and the righteous brother!” I said, “Who is this?” He said, “This is Musa.” Then I passed by Isa, and he said, “Welcome to the righteous brother and the righteous prophet!” I said, “Who is this?” He said, “This is Isa.” Then I passed by Ibrahim, and he said, “Welcome to the righteous prophet and the righteous son!” I said, “Who is this?” He said, “This is Ibrahim.” … “Then I was taken up until I reached a level place where I heard the scratching of the pens.” … “Then Allah made fifty prayers obligatory upon my community. I returned with that until I passed by Musa, and he said, ‘What has Allah made obligatory for you upon your community?’ I said, ‘He made fifty prayers obligatory.’ He said, ‘Go back to your Lord, for your community will not be able to bear that.’ So I went back (to Him), and He removed a portion of them. I returned to Musa and said, ‘He removed a portion of them.’ He said, ‘Go back to your Lord again, for your community will not be able to bear (it).’ So I went back (to Him), and He removed a portion of them. I returned to him, and he said, ‘Go back to your Lord, for your community will not be able to bear that.’ So I went back to Him, and He said, ‘They are five and they are fifty. The word is not changed with Me.’ I returned to Musa, and he said, ‘Go back to your Lord again.’ I said, ‘I feel shy before my Lord.’ Then he went on with me until he brought me to the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary (Sidrat al-Muntaha), and it was covered by colours of which I do not know what they are. Then I was admitted into Paradise, and in it there were strings of pearls, and its soil was musk.”
