Chapter 4 · Ablutions (Wudu')
One who performs ablution only after a heavy fainting

Translation
Asma bint Abi Bakr reported: I came to Aishah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, when the sun was eclipsed, and there were the people standing in prayer, and she too was standing in prayer. I said, “What is the matter with the people?” She pointed with her hand towards the sky and said, “Glory be to Allah.” I said, “A sign?” She indicated: yes. So I stood (in the prayer) until faintness came over me, and I began pouring water over my head. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had finished (the prayer), he praised Allah and extolled Him, then said: “There is nothing I had not seen before that I have not now seen in this place of mine, even Paradise and the Fire. And it has been revealed to me that you will be tried in the graves like – or close to – the trial of the Dajjal – I do not know which of the two Asma said. One of you will be brought and it will be said: ‘What do you know about this man?’ As for the believer – or the one with certainty, I do not know which of the two Asma said – he will say: ‘He is Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah. He came to us with clear proofs and guidance, and we responded, believed and followed.’ Then it will be said: ‘Sleep as a righteous one. We already knew that you were indeed a believer.’ As for the hypocrite – or the doubter, I do not know which of the two Asma said – he will say: ‘I do not know. I heard the people saying something, so I said it.’”
Translator’s note: This was the prayer during a solar eclipse. The interjections “I do not know which of the two Asma said” are from the narrator who transmits from Asma (Fatimah bint al-Mundhir). Dajjal: the False Messiah.

Esmâ bint Ebû Bekir (r.a.) şöyle rivayet etti: Güneş tutulduğu sırada Nebî'nin ﷺ eşi Âişe'nin (r.a.) yanına geldim.
