Chapter 4 · Ablutions (Wudu')مَنْ مَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْشَقَ مِنْ غَرْفَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ
One who rinses the mouth and nose from a single handful
أَنَّهُ أَفْرَغَ مِنَ الإِنَاءِ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ فَغَسَلَهُمَا، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ أَوْ مَضْمَضَ، وَاسْتَنْشَقَ مِنْ كَفَّةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ، فَفَعَلَ ذَلِكَ ثَلاَثًا، فَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ إِلَى الْمِرْفَقَيْنِ مَرَّتَيْنِ مَرَّتَيْنِ، وَمَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ مَا أَقْبَلَ وَمَا أَدْبَرَ، وَغَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ هَكَذَا وُضُوءُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم.

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ،
Translation
Abdullah ibn Zayd ibn Asim al-Mazini reported that he poured (water) from the vessel over his hands and washed them. Then he washed – or: rinsed his mouth – and drew water into his nose from a single palmful, and he did that three times. Then he washed his hands up to the elbows, twice each, wiped his head, front and back, and washed his feet up to the ankles. Then he said, “This is the ablution (wudu) of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.”
Translator’s note: “Then he washed – or: rinsed his mouth”: the narrator was unsure of the exact wording.

Abdullah b. Zeyd b. Âsım el-Mâzinî (r.a.), kaptan ellerine su döküp onları yıkadığını rivayet etti. Sonra yıkadı – veya: ağzına su verdi – ve tek avuçtan burnuna su verdi; bunu üç kere yaptı. Sonra ellerini dirseklere kadar ikişer kere yıkadı, başının önünü ve arkasını meshetti ve ayaklarını topuklara kadar yıkadı. Sonra, “Resûlullah'ın ﷺ abdesti işte böyledir” dedi.
