Chapter 4 · Ablutions (Wudu')
Ablution without hadath (ritual impurity)

Translation
Suwayd ibn an-Nu'man reported: We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the year of Khaybar. When we were at as-Sahba', the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in the Asr prayer. When he had prayed, he called for food, but nothing was brought except sawiq, so we ate and drank. Then the Prophet ﷺ stood up for the Maghrib prayer and rinsed his mouth. Then he led us in the Maghrib prayer and did not perform ablution (wudu).
Translator’s note: As-Sahba' is a place near Khaybar. Sawiq is meal of roasted barley or wheat, eaten mixed with water.
