Chapter 4 · Ablutions (Wudu')
A woman washing the blood from her father's face

Translation
Abu Hazim reported: The people asked Sahl ibn Sa'd – and there was no one between me and him – with what the wound of the Prophet ﷺ had been treated. He said, “There is no one left who knows more about it than I. Ali would bring water in his shield, and Fatimah washed the blood from his face. Then a mat was taken and burned, and his wound was filled with it.”
Translator’s note: The Arabic has “they asked him”; Sahl ibn Sa'd as-Sa'idi, named in the chain of narrators, is meant. It concerns the Prophet's ﷺ wound at the Battle of Uhud.

Deutsch
