Translation
Abu Ja'far reported that he and his father were with Jabir ibn Abdullah, while some people were with him, and that they asked him about the ritual bath (ghusl). He said, “A sa' is enough for you.” A man said, “It is not enough for me.” Jabir said, “It was enough for one who had more hair than you and was better than you.” Then he led us in prayer in a (single) garment.
Translator’s note: Abu Ja'far is Muhammad ibn Ali ibn al-Husayn (al-Baqir). “One who had more hair” refers to the Prophet ﷺ.
