When a woman has a wet dream

Translation

Umm Salamah reported: Umm Sulaym, the wife of Abu Talhah, came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, “O Messenger of Allah, Allah is not shy of the truth. Is the ritual bath (ghusl) required of a woman if she has a wet dream?” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Yes, if she sees the fluid.”

Translator’s note: Literally “the water”; the discharge is meant.

Ümmü Seleme (r.a.) şöyle rivayet etti: Ebû Talha'nın hanımı Ümmü Süleym (r.a.) Resûlullah'a ﷺ geldi ve şöyle dedi: “Ey Allah'ın Resûlü! Allah haktan hayâ etmez. Kadın ihtilâm olduğunda ona gusül gerekir mi?” Resûlullah ﷺ: “Evet, suyu gördüğü takdirde” buyurdu.

Translator’s note: Su ile kastedilen, kadından gelen akıntıdır.
