Prayer in a Syrian cloak (jubbah)
كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي سَفَرٍ فَقَالَ " يَا مُغِيرَةُ، خُذِ الإِدَاوَةَ ". فَأَخَذْتُهَا فَانْطَلَقَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَتَّى تَوَارَى عَنِّي فَقَضَى حَاجَتَهُ، وَعَلَيْهِ جُبَّةٌ شَأْمِيَّةٌ، فَذَهَبَ لِيُخْرِجَ يَدَهُ مِنْ كُمِّهَا فَضَاقَتْ، فَأَخْرَجَ يَدَهُ مِنْ أَسْفَلِهَا، فَصَبَبْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَتَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاَةِ، وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى.

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ
Translation
Al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah reported: I was with the Prophet ﷺ on a journey, and he said, “O Mughirah, take the leather vessel of water.” I took it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went off until he was hidden from me and relieved himself. He was wearing a Syrian cloak (jubbah). He tried to bring his hand out of its sleeve, but it was too tight, so he brought his hand out from underneath it. I poured (water) for him, and he performed his ablution (wudu) as for the prayer, wiped over his leather socks and then prayed.

Al-Mughira ibn Schu'ba berichtete: Ich war mit dem Propheten ﷺ auf einer Reise, und er sagte: „O Mughira, nimm den ledernen Wasserbehälter.“ Ich nahm ihn. Da ging der Gesandte Allahs ﷺ fort, bis er vor mir verborgen war, und verrichtete seine Notdurft. Er trug ein syrisches Obergewand (Dschubba). Er wollte seine Hand aus dessen Ärmel ziehen, doch der war zu eng, so zog er seine Hand von unten heraus. Ich goss (Wasser) für ihn, und er vollzog seine Gebetswaschung wie für das Gebet, strich über seine Ledersocken und betete dann.

Muğîre b. Şu'be (r.a.) şöyle rivayet etti: Bir yolculukta Nebî ﷺ ile beraberdim. “Ey Muğîre, matarayı al” dedi. Ben de onu aldım. Resûlullah ﷺ benden gizleninceye kadar uzaklaştı ve ihtiyacını giderdi. Üzerinde Şam işi bir cübbe vardı. Elini yeninden çıkarmak istedi, fakat yen dar geldi; bunun üzerine elini cübbenin altından çıkardı. Ben de (su) döktüm; namaz abdesti gibi abdest aldı, mestlerinin üzerine meshetti, sonra namaz kıldı.

Al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah reported: I was with the Prophet ﷺ on a journey, and I reached down to take off his leather socks, but he said, “Leave them, for I put them (my feet) into them while they were pure.” And he wiped over them.
وَضَّأْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفَّيْهِ وَصَلَّى.
Al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah reported: I helped the Prophet ﷺ perform ablution (wudu), and he wiped over his leather socks and prayed.
