Chapter 8 · Prayers (Salat)
Praying in leather socks

Translation
Hammam ibn al-Harith reported: I saw Jarir ibn Abdullah urinate. Then he performed ablution (wudu) and wiped over his leather socks, then he stood up and prayed. He was asked (about it) and said, “I saw the Prophet ﷺ do the same as this.” Ibrahim said: This pleased them, because Jarir was among the last to embrace Islam.
Translator’s note: Ibrahim is Ibrahim an-Nakha'i. Since Jarir became Muslim late, his report shows that wiping over the leather socks was not abrogated.

Deutsch
Hammam ibn al-Harith berichtete: Ich sah Dscharir ibn Abdullah urinieren.
Translator’s note: Ibrahim ist Ibrahim an-Nacha'i.
