If spittle comes upon one suddenly, let him take the edge of his garment
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَأَى نُخَامَةً فِي الْقِبْلَةِ فَحَكَّهَا بِيَدِهِ، وَرُئِيَ مِنْهُ كَرَاهِيَةٌ ـ أَوْ رُئِيَ كَرَاهِيَتُهُ لِذَلِكَ وَشِدَّتُهُ عَلَيْهِ ـ وَقَالَ " إِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ إِذَا قَامَ فِي صَلاَتِهِ فَإِنَّمَا يُنَاجِي رَبَّهُ ـ أَوْ رَبُّهُ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ قِبْلَتِهِ ـ فَلاَ يَبْزُقَنَّ فِي قِبْلَتِهِ، وَلَكِنْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ أَوْ تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ ". ثُمَّ أَخَذَ طَرَفَ رِدَائِهِ فَبَزَقَ فِيهِ، وَرَدَّ بَعْضَهُ عَلَى بَعْضٍ، قَالَ " أَوْ يَفْعَلُ هَكَذَا ".

حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ،
Translation
Anas ibn Malik reported that the Prophet ﷺ saw sputum in the qiblah and scraped it off with his hand. Displeasure was seen in him – or: his displeasure at that and how hard it was on him were seen – and he said, “When one of you stands in his prayer, he is only conversing intimately with his Lord – or: his Lord is between him and his qiblah – so let him by no means spit in his qiblah, but rather to his left or under his foot.” Then he took the edge of his upper wrap (rida'), spat into it and folded part of it over another. He said, “Or he does like this.”

Anas ibn Malik berichtete, dass der Prophet ﷺ Auswurf in der Gebetsrichtung (Qibla) sah und ihn mit seiner Hand abkratzte. Man sah ihm Missfallen an – oder: man sah ihm sein Missfallen darüber an und wie schwer es ihm fiel –, und er sagte: „Wenn einer von euch in seinem Gebet steht, führt er vertrauliche Zwiesprache mit seinem Herrn – oder: sein Herr ist zwischen ihm und seiner Gebetsrichtung. Darum soll er keinesfalls in seine Gebetsrichtung spucken, sondern zu seiner Linken oder unter seinen Fuß.“ Dann nahm er den Saum seines Umhangs, spuckte hinein und legte einen Teil davon über den anderen. Er sagte: „Oder er macht es so.“

Enes b. Mâlik (r.a.), Nebî'nin ﷺ kıble tarafında bir balgam görüp onu eliyle kazıdığını rivayet etti. Ondan bir hoşnutsuzluk görüldü – yahut: buna karşı hoşnutsuzluğu ve bunun ona ağır geldiği görüldü –. Şöyle buyurdu: “Biriniz namazında durduğu zaman ancak Rabbiyle baş başa konuşmaktadır – yahut: Rabbi onunla kıblesi arasındadır –. Öyleyse asla kıblesine doğru tükürmesin; soluna veya ayağının altına (tükürsün).” Sonra ridâsının ucunu alıp içine tükürdü ve bir kısmını diğerinin üzerine kapattı. “Yahut böyle yapar” buyurdu.
