Chapter 8 · Prayers (Salat)
Praying in the mosque of the marketplace

Translation
Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, “The prayer in congregation exceeds a man's prayer in his house and his prayer in his marketplace by twenty-five degrees. For when one of you performs ablution (wudu) and does it well, and comes to the mosque wanting nothing but the prayer, he does not take a single step without Allah raising him by it one degree and removing from him a sin, until he enters the mosque. And when he has entered the mosque, he is in prayer as long as it is the prayer that keeps him there. And the angels invoke blessings – meaning upon him – as long as he remains in the place where he prays: ‘O Allah, forgive him! O Allah, have mercy on him!’ as long as he does not incur hadath (ritual impurity) there.”

Ebû Hüreyre (r.a.), Nebî'nin ﷺ şöyle buyurduğunu rivayet etti: “Cemaatle kılınan namaz, kişinin evinde kıldığı namazdan ve çarşısında kıldığı namazdan yirmi beş derece üstündür.
