Chapter 2 · Beliefمَا جَاءَ أَنَّ الأَعْمَالَ بِالنِّيَّةِ وَالْحِسْبَةِ وَلِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مَا نَوَى
What has come about actions being according to intention and the hope of reward, and that every person shall have what he intended
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " الأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّيَّةِ، وَلِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مَا نَوَى، فَمَنْ كَانَتْ هِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ، فَهِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ، وَمَنْ كَانَتْ هِجْرَتُهُ لِدُنْيَا يُصِيبُهَا، أَوِ امْرَأَةٍ يَتَزَوَّجُهَا، فَهِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى مَا هَاجَرَ إِلَيْهِ ".

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ وَقَّاصٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ،
Translation
Umar ibn al-Khattab reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Actions are according to intention, and every person shall have what he intended. So whoever's emigration (hijrah) was to Allah and His Messenger, his emigration is to Allah and His Messenger; and whoever's emigration was for a worldly gain he seeks to attain, or for a woman he seeks to marry, his emigration is for that for which he emigrated.”

Umar ibn al-Chattab berichtete: Der Gesandte Allahs ﷺ sagte: „Die Taten sind gemäß der Absicht, und jedem Menschen gehört, was er beabsichtigt hat. Wessen Auswanderung (Hidschra) also Allah und Seinem Gesandten galt, dessen Auswanderung gilt Allah und Seinem Gesandten. Und wessen Auswanderung einem weltlichen Gut galt, das er erlangen will, oder einer Frau, die er heiraten will, dessen Auswanderung gilt dem, wofür er ausgewandert ist.“

Ömer b. Hattâb (r.a.) şöyle rivayet etti: Resûlullah ﷺ şöyle buyurdu: “Ameller niyete göredir. Herkese niyet ettiği şey vardır. Kimin hicreti Allah'a ve Resûlü'ne ise, onun hicreti Allah'a ve Resûlü'nedir. Kimin hicreti de elde edeceği bir dünyalığa veya evleneceği bir kadına ise, onun hicreti de hicret ettiği şeyedir.”
