Chapter 9 · Times of the Prayers
The time of the Zuhr prayer when the sun passes the meridian

Translation
Anas ibn Malik reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out when the sun had passed the meridian and prayed the Zuhr prayer. Then he stood on the pulpit, mentioned the Hour and mentioned that there are tremendous matters in it. Then he said, “Whoever wishes to ask about anything, let him ask. You will not ask me about anything but that I will tell you, as long as I am in this place of mine.” The people wept much, and he kept saying, “Ask me!” Then Abdullah ibn Hudhafah as-Sahmi stood up and said, “Who is my father?” He said, “Your father is Hudhafah.” Then he kept saying, “Ask me!” Then Umar knelt down on his knees and said, “We are pleased with Allah as Lord, with Islam as religion and with Muhammad as Prophet.” So he fell silent. Then he said, “Just now Paradise and the Fire were shown to me on the face of this wall, and I have not seen (anything) like the good and the evil.”
Translator’s note: The Hour refers to the end of the world.

Huzâfe es-Sehmî (r.a.) kalkıp: “Babam kimdir?” dedi.
Translator’s note: Burada “Saat”, yani kıyamet kastedilmektedir.
