The time of the Maghrib prayer

Translation

Muhammad ibn Amr ibn al-Hasan reported: Al-Hajjaj came (to Madinah), and we asked Jabir ibn Abdullah. He said, “The Prophet ﷺ used to pray the Zuhr prayer in the midday heat, the Asr prayer while the sun was (still) clear, the Maghrib prayer when it had set, and the Isha prayer sometimes one way and sometimes another: when he saw that they had gathered, he prayed it early, and when he saw that they were late, he delayed it. And the dawn prayer – they used to, or the Prophet ﷺ used to, pray it in the darkness before dawn.”

Translator’s note: This refers to al-Hajjaj ibn Yusuf, who used to delay the prayers.

Deutsch

Muhammed b. Amr b. Hasan şöyle rivayet etti: Haccâc (Medine'ye) geldi; biz de Câbir b. Abdullah'a (r.a.) sorduk.
