Sahih

The time of the Isha prayer when the people gather or are late

Translation

Muhammad ibn Amr ibn al-Hasan reported: We asked Jabir ibn Abdullah about the prayer of the Prophet ﷺ. He said, “He used to pray the Zuhr prayer in the midday heat, the Asr prayer while the sun was (still) alive, the Maghrib prayer when it had set, and the Isha prayer: when the people were many, he prayed it early, and when they were few, he delayed it; and the dawn prayer in the darkness before dawn.”
