Chapter 9 · Times of the Prayers
Sahih

Whoever leads the people in congregational prayer after the time has passed

Translation

Jabir ibn Abdullah reported that Umar ibn al-Khattab came on the Day of the Trench after the sun had set and began to revile the disbelievers of Quraysh. He said, “O Messenger of Allah, I barely managed to pray the Asr prayer before the sun was about to set.” The Prophet ﷺ said, “By Allah, I have not (yet) prayed it.” So we set off for Buthan; he performed ablution (wudu) for the prayer, and we performed it for it, and he prayed the Asr prayer after the sun had set, and after it he prayed the Maghrib prayer.

Translator’s note: The Day of the Trench is the Battle of the Trench (5 AH). Buthan is a valley in Madinah.

Deutsch

H.). Buthan ist ein Tal in Medina.

Türkçe

Câbir b. Abdullah (r.a.), Ömer b. Hattâb'ın (r.a.)
