I'tikaf for a woman with prolonged bleeding

Translation

Aishah reported that one of the wives of the Prophet ﷺ was in seclusion (i'tikaf) with him while she had prolonged bleeding (istihadah) and saw blood, and she would sometimes place a basin beneath her because of the blood. And he stated that Aishah saw safflower water and said, “It is as if this were something that so-and-so used to experience.”

Translator’s note: “He stated”: the narrator Ikrimah is meant. The yellowish safflower water reminded Aishah of that woman's bleeding.

Other translations

Deutsch
