Sahih

بَدْءُ الأَذَانِ

The beginning of the adhan

Translation

Anas ibn Malik reported: They mentioned fire and the bell (naqus), and they mentioned the Jews and the Christians. Then Bilal was commanded to say the adhan in pairs and the iqamah singly.

Translator’s note: That is, each phrase of the adhan is said twice and each phrase of the iqamah once.

Other translations

Deutsch

Anas ibn Malik berichtete: Sie erwähnten das Feuer und die Glocke (Naqus), und sie erwähnten die Juden und die Christen. Da wurde Bilal befohlen, den Gebetsruf (Adhan) paarweise und die Iqama einzeln zu sprechen.

Translator’s note: Gemeint ist, die Sätze des Gebetsrufs jeweils doppelt und die der Iqama jeweils einmal zu sprechen.

Türkçe

Enes b. Mâlik (r.a.) şöyle rivayet etti: Ateşi ve çanı andılar; Yahudileri ve Hristiyanları andılar. Bunun üzerine Bilâl'e ezanı çift, kameti tek okuması emredildi.

Translator’s note: Yani ezanın cümlelerini ikişer, kametin cümlelerini birer kez söylemek.
